This is really beautiful, but I would love to see a stained glass style painting that actually worked like stained glass would. In stained glass, you make as few curves as possible, to have less chance of the glass breaking when you cut. And those spirals, while pretty, wouldn't be possible, unless they were painted on. Same for the left eye. I really like the work, honestly, but as actual stained glass, it wouldn't happen.
haha yes, I know what's possible in glass and what isn't. It's not meant to emulate glass in its entirety, but it is inspired by the gleam and glow of glass, light and color. I know exactly what you mean though! Thank you for your kind words also!! I am happy to hear you find my art pleasing.
Yeah I just mostly doodle and such and I paint it by hand old school technique with my stylus If you have any apple products you should download sketch club app - its really awesome, i pretty much just use that now for my art because its so natural!
Gorgeous and inventive. Ariel has been and will be my favourite Disney princess, and beautiful pieces of art like this one are reminders of why that is! It just seems to come alive with all those glowing colours.
I wish I could put this on a window for my future house!
although when I first saw this, I thought of the mermaid from Harry Potter in the Goblet of Fire, where Harry has to open up the golden egg before the 2nd task in the Prefect's bathtub. The mermaid in that stained glass window gave off that kind of similar pose and seductive gaze
